As Ami Paris marks its fifteenth anniversary, founder and creative director Alexandre Mattiussi is not looking backward into archives or indulging in retrospective nostalgia. Instead, the Paris-native brand is reaffirming its core identity: creating authentic, elegant clothes designed for the rhythm of real lives in real cities. From the sidewalk terrace culture of Paris to the bustling landscape of Hong Kong, Ami’s Fall-Winter 2026 collection presents a refined vision of pragmatic luxury rooted in human connection, spontaneity, and warmth.

The milestone season was anchored by the Fall-Winter 2026 runway show in Paris earlier in the year. Stripping away ornate set designs, Mattiussi selected a raw, industrial Haussmannian space on the Avenue des Champs-Élysées. The stripped-back, neutral backdrop placed full focus on the clothes themselves, brought to life along a close-range catwalk to an energetic electro soundtrack featuring tracks by Romare, Starsailor, and LCD. An eclectic casting combining established models like Adwoa Aboah, Mona Tougaard, and Alex Consani with street-casted faces walked before an intimate gathering of long-standing friends of the Maison, including Catherine Deneuve, Diane Kruger, Choi Woo Shik, Tsubasa Honda, and Zhou Yiran.

“The Fall-Winter 26 collection of Ami Paris is colourful, generous, instantly recognizable as ours”, notes Mattiussi. “Marking fifteen years of Ami Paris, this collection feels like a new chapter, but one that stays close to our beginning. It is a way of reaffirming what was always there: dressing women and men with sincerity, respect, and humility, and imagining how, once these clothes enter someone’s wardrobe, they become theirs.”

Central to the collection’s narrative and styling method is the metaphor of the Rubik’s Cube®. “While I was designing the Fall-Winter 26 collection, I had a strong image in mind: the ever-changing facets of a Rubik’s Cube,” explains Mattiussi. “You just make the smallest move, and the cube changes entirely—the colours, the arrangement, the mood. This collection works in exactly the same way: modify one detail and everything is suddenly new, different, surprising.”
Mattiussi’s starting point remains the observation of Parisian street life viewed from café terraces - where elegant garments naturally mix with hoodies, denim, or running shoes. This philosophical flexibility shines through in silhouettes defined by natural volume and mastered nonchalance. Structural outerwear remains timeless, starring oversized coats, ample trousers, and fluid balloon shapes. Menswear plays with contrast by combining long, wide lines with cropped, cleaner cuts, while womenswear introduces architectural volume focused around the hips while preserving fluid movement.

The palette relies on an elegant foundation of camel, beige, navy, slate, black, and white, dynamically energized by bold accents of saffron, emerald green, royal blue, sky blue, soft pink, and intense red. Tactile depth is created through a rich mix of leathers, textured knits, and colorful jerseys showcasing graphic checks, chevrons, houndstooth, and argyle. Accessories give the silhouettes a documentary quality: wired earphones, loosely tied neckties, beanies, red gloves, and embroidered “Thank you for being a friend” caps ground the collection in contemporary urban reality.

For the fashionable set in Asia, this spirit of warmth and intuitive elegance resonated vividly during Ami Paris’ recent two-part launch event in Hong Kong - a city that served as one of the brand's first overseas retail destinations during its early expansion. The celebration commenced at the Harbour City store in Tsim Sha Tsui, where Friends of the House, including actor and singer Jeffrey Ngai, gathered for an intimate first look at the Fall-Winter 26 collection across ready-to-wear, leather goods, and accessories. The day culminated in a late-night gathering at 115 Listening Room inside the iconic Dragon-i, decorated with the signature Ami de Coeur emblem and hosted by DJ Reba.

Ami Paris continues to demonstrate that real luxury lies in versatility, sincerity, and joy. By bridging Parisian terrace ease with global city life, Mattiussi offers a thoughtful, highly livable blueprint for contemporary dressing.
