“See Art. Love Art. Own Art” is the Explicit Theme for This Year’s AAF HK, Championing Accessible Art Ownership in the City

The 13th edition of Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong will take centre stage at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 14 to 17 May 2026, welcoming 105 exhibitors for a vibrant celebration of contemporary creativity and a showcase of global contemporary work

This year’s fair shines under the bold new theme, “See Art. Love Art. Own Art.” - a call to action that inspires audiences not just to admire, but to own the very best of original, contemporary art. What sets Affordable Art Fair apart is its welcoming spirit and approachable atmosphere: a vibrant cultural event and accessible model, where seasoned collectors and first-time buyers alike can discover works that resonate with them personally. In today’s fast-paced world, where contemporary lifestyles emphasise design and functionality, the fair highlights how owning artwork can redefine home styles, turning interiors into bold personal statements as well as elevating interior design. It also reflects a growing movement where people see art as a journey of discovery, offering inspiration, personal expression, and creative energy that enhances daily living - a critical component of personal expression and creative living.

Affordable Art Fair has established itself as a celebration of creativity and connection, offering immersive installations, interactive workshops, and diverse galleries that make art ownership joyful, approachable, and transformative - a straightforward process. By fostering inclusivity and originality, the fair continues to build a thriving art community in Hong Kong, where contemporary art becomes part of both a lifestyle and personal growth, reinforcing Hong Kong's position as a key regional art hub, integrating contemporary art into the city’s cultural landscape.

The 2026 edition will showcase a captivating collection and curated selection of galleries from Hong Kong and across the globe, with exhibitors hailing from Australia, Belgium, China, France, Italy, Japan, South Korea, the UK, the US, and beyond. Visitors can look forward to a kaleidoscope of contemporary creativity, a broad spectrum of media - all offered at accessible prices to encourage new collectors to take their first step in building a personal collection.

Adding to the excitement, the fair will introduce a Creative Hub featuring Artists in Residence and special collaborations with talents such as Erin Hung, alongside a roster of Artists in Action and hands-on workshops in printmaking. Returning highlights include Young Talent Hong Kong, showcasing emerging local voices, and Special Projects with bold installations, experimental works, and live performances, joined this year with a Photography Feature. Continuing its spirit of cultural dialogue, the fair will also partner with the British Consulate General Hong Kong to celebrate creative exchange between the UK and Hong Kong.

Shares Fair Director, Regina Zhang, “Affordable Art Fair stands out for the way it turns collecting into a joyful, welcoming experience. This year, under the theme “See Art. Love Art. Own Art”, we celebrate accessibility and originality side by side - bringing together inspiring contemporary works at approachable prices, while creating a vibrant atmosphere where everyone feels at home. We invite you not only to discover art, but to own it, to connect with artists, and to carry creativity into everyday life.  Our mission is simple yet powerful: to inspire people to embrace contemporary art as part of their world, and to nurture a thriving, sustainable art community here in Hong Kong.”
